If direct flights in J are priced at GBP 4k and indirect flights in J are at GBP 2k I would personally choose the indirect flight any time!

I would much rather pay GBP 2k for one-stop J via the middle east than GBP 1.5k for WT+ direct or GBP 1k for WT direct!
