I mostly fly domestics and recently have come across some annoying problems.

This week I could not select any seats at all on any flight, it just came up with the £5 option. Then that problem went away and now I find that all my bookings have placed me in the middle seat at the back of the plane (lots of other seats available). I am also unable to select anything forward of row 12. These flights aren't full and are approximately a month away.

Does anyone else have this problem? Which seats can you usually pick on a domestic? I used to be automatically placed into the first row available in seat A, eg 2A. But now I am being placed in 12E or similar.
