Ok, so I just got back from my first trip with Openskies; here are some observations:
There are two configurations: on the way out I had an exit row in PremPlus and it had extra legroom. On the way back, there is no exit row in PremPlus.
The seats are exactly what business used to be like on AA and CX in the late 1990's. Nice recline, plenty of legroom, leg rests, etc.
they are more comfortable than domestic AA first seats (I took two AA flights in F to get to and from my Openskies flights.)
Seat wise, this really I between economy and business, other Y+ products out there do not look his comfortable. With lounge access and priority/fast track boarding and access (because of status) this really is an alternative to business.
My only regret is they don't fly other places, I would definitely fly their PremPlus product because of the savings over business fares. I would not pay for the bizBed seats because they are standard business fares and the seats are like ClubWorld which I really don't care for.
Of course, the lounge at Orly (and all of Orly for that matter) is horrible. This time we were not escorted to the gate like we were last month on Club Europe. The Galleries Club lounge at JFK and the whole terminal is also cramped and horrible. Give me an Admirals Club over it any day.
