I somehow end up with two tickets for the exact same flight section: one is part of a round trip, the other is a one-way ticket with a different confirmation number.

Since I get practically nothing canceling either one, I'm wondering if I can actually check in both tickets on the same plane? Will the gate people allow me to do that? If yes then I will get double miles for this trip, no?
