Upgrading on SAS, while not as good value as it used to be, is still reasonable value in my opinion. If you are not happy with the product, you could keep the points until SAS complete the upcoming refurbish of the business cabins, if your points last that long.

Star Alliance upgrades are poor value across the whole alliance, it is not just a eurobonus problem.
