Smelly Cabin Crew

Something a little light hearted (for a change!) as it is Sunday and NOT to be taken too seriously, please!!

Well, now that I may have grabbed your attention (possibly) an adjective of the word smelly is 'strong' and this is what I mean.

Anyhow, I always take occasional notes when going on a solo travel so I can write up my TR's which for me is a lasting memory of a particular trip.

One thing I have noticed and that has a familiar theme in my travels is that when the BA CC are going past the Gate there is always a nice aroma of Perfumes (and After Shaves) giving a very fresh smell. I find it a little refreshing. I've never really noticed it that much with other carriers.

Recently at LAX, I was standing near the Gate at one point when the 20 odd CC walked past in close formation in little groups and the aroma was very nice. (I have a very sensitive nose, really!)

Now obviously one or two had forgotten to take their finger off the spray button but through it all I did detect a faint smell of Boss, the distinctive smell of Armani (both of which I use) and a VERY strong whiff of Jo Malone perfume which I have given to some of my many lady friends across the Globe over the years. (friends that is! )

If I have the time I do spend a fair bit in Duty Free (I usually have no lounge access) so I am familiar with some brands.

I also noticed this more so once onboard in a more closed environment and when speaking to the CC. I think I would immediately detect if CIHY was walking past me and given his age he probably wears Brut 33 or Old Spice which only men of a certain age may wear.

I won't guess what PUCCI or Littlegirl wear or sunrisegirl (I know she is ground staff but worthy of mention, waves!) but something probably quite classy?

Has anyone else ever noticed this or is it that they know I am flying and are trying to impress me?

Pete
