The Hawaiian routes are money makers for the premium cabins. Just like in the cases of mileage tickets not being available for the 100k to JNB/SYD, which fill with paid J, the Hawaii routes will be filled with paid F.

That being said, a friend of mine went on the ATL-HNL flight, while he got the new J seat on the A330, the service was that of a typical domestic F flight that serves food. DL needs to revisit their services on this flight as it is longer than a lot of JFK-Europe flights that receive the typical BE service. But if they can muster BE light on the 17ish flights a day from JFK-LAX/SFO/SEA, they could muster something a little better than the bare bones service they do one a once a day flight from ATL-HNL

Or even become creative on a Hawaiian Style type of service. Won't cost them a lot of extra money and will still make the flight feel special.
MU and JL ones tend not to be that full in the front...
(the former being from someone who got an opup and the latter from experience peeking in the front behind the curtain.)
