This current "shortest flight" AUS-IAH became one of my longest-seeming flights, in the ancient CO days. The landing gear was refusing to display that it had extended correctly, so we flew in circles for 3.5 hours burning off fuel, learned the brace position, did a few quick low-level overflights for visual inspection, and there were firetrucks lining the Houston runway as we came in using the whole runway length (no problem occurred).

I sure did get my $19 worth of scary entertainment, though!
