I have brought this up before, west and far south Texas (they did recently add HRL with a token flight) is Delta's biggest hole in their network.
But considering AA/UA/WN are all huge in Texas, and DL has no hubs that are within 500 miles of any of those points, it is likely to stay that way. DL would lose money hand over fist if it tried to heavily compete with any of those three.
