Call citi to ask them to issue a refund of the overpayment. They can actually send it via ACH and it will be in your checking account in 5-7 business days.

OK, here's what happened. I was trying to pay off all but a small amount of my balance before the payment due date and the triggering of autopay, but I got it confused with the statement closing date, which is several days later. So what ended up happening is that my one-time payment AND autopay both took place on the same day, and the total payment is $500 over the balance. That's $500 I wasn't planning to spend on this card, since I just needed to meet the minimum spend (which I have).

Well, woe is me. My fault for getting the dates mixed up. In any case, I'm wondering if there's anyway to "unpay" the overpayment, since I really need to put my upcoming spend on other cards to meet their minimum spend.

Thanks for anything you come up with.
