$20 to park at National LGA?
Let me begin by saying that I hate Enterprise, so, so, much. I have an Enterprise reservation which I got in the City so that I could pick up a guest from LGA tonight. Anyway, I called National to see if I could temporarily park the rental car there (I told them I got it from "another branch") so they would think it's a National Car, and they said I could park there for $20. Seems a big silly, might as well park in the real lot. Ought I to try anyway?
Btw, after being told that it was $20, I called Enterprise and asked the same question. They said "absolutely not". When I explained that i rent from them regularly, the lady said "the problem is, if we let you park it there, it may end up getting rented to another customer". So I said "yah, I'll have the keys with me so that probably won't happen." She replies, "one of our employees may assume the keys are locked inside and they would then break into the car." - so I said "yeah, that definitely won't happen" - and now I'm waiting for the branch manager to call me back. He's a good guy, but otherwise, god I hate Enterprise so, so, much.
Have any of you ever parked a rental car for an hour or two at a branch, to save on parking?
