Frankly it's a comparison between a stuffy old grande dame and what is, by far, the best hotel in the city. I don't think the Ritz has been on anyone's radar for a very long time.
The choice hopefully will get more interesting when the Peninsula opens, which I expect to rival FS park lane.
With respect, I'd say the Connaught wins that gong. I was also thinking, The Connaught has a lovely warm pool, which would be fun with a 2 year old.....my 5 year old loves it!! It's normally priced at the same level as the FS.
