I believe the rooms on 11 are indeed somewhat smaller, as there is a service walkway outside the windows that (I think) takes a couple feet off the room's length. Also, due to the shape of the roof the ceiling curves downward a fair bit toward the windows. The walkway also means that the windows don't go as close to the floor as on the other floors. I'd opt for an outside room on the 9th or 10th floor, facing away from the airport. You're view will be of trees and if the right runway is in use you'll see planes passing so closely you'd think you could reach out and touch them. (but, no noise.)
