Well, CX shows up as JPY79290, while CA is JPY80300. For that close of a fare difference, I'd rather fly CA and get the *A miles. With business travel this unpredictable, I don't know if I'll be within striking range of Premier Platinum (UA status; 75k PQM) at that time. I'd hate to miss out on raising my status another tier because I flew a non *A carrier.
