has anyone ever noticed Hyatt Revenue Management holding the Park Villa rooms so you can't book an award night? The husband and I are currently planning our honeymoon. Last week we were going to book 4 award nights for Feb. 7-11, but had to hold off because we hadn't finalized our flight plans yet. Last week there were Park Villas available for any night we wanted in the end of January and all of February. When we went to book on Monday there were no Park Villas (therefore no award nights) available for any day in January or February. But once March 1 rolls around they are available again. One of the explanations I can think of is they block out the Park Villas for a few months so people actually pay for this resort during the high season instead of redeeming for award nights. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? If so, do the Park Villas eventually open up as the dates move closer?
