I just split credit between A3 and UA without a problem (legs were over a month apart, which might have helped). Just go in and change your FF# in your reservation (I had made the reservation on UA.com under my MileagePlus #, changed it after boarding to my A3#, miles posted, changed it back to MP# for the way back).
So to be clear, right now I have my US airways FF listed for my US Airway flight in November, I should wait to switch it to A3 right after I board so I can get the flight credited to A3? or can I just put A3 number in now. I have the US Air credit card so I get those benefits. What about on return, its 3 days later, should I leave it as A3, or switch it back to US Air ff, then after boarding again, change it to A3.
