Can you get generic Visa gift cards via this method? Or something else that you could easily use fast in the regular course of your life? (e.g., Amazon, Target, your own preferred travel providers, etc.)

Problem with gift cards is that they start losing value the instant you take possession of them, so I want them fully expended very quickly. Only so much I can do with cards to places like Chili's or Eddie Bauer... A well-timed Marriott gift card, on the other hand, can be a real quick winner.
