Fares out of a home carrier's market are usually more expensive than their inbound competitors. If you search, I bet that JL will also be more expensive. Also, you are searching during one of the biggest travel periods of the year in Japan. It would not surprise me if discount economy was 100% booked by now. Combine those factors and you have extremely high fares.
