Agreed. I consider myself well travelled, but I felt robbed by my newton Circus experience.

What did you eat at Newton? If it's just chicken rice and wonton noodles etc then it's great fun. If you go for seafood then I can understand there are risks. But for satay and noodle type dishes it's fine and it's fun in a group. I wouldn't pass it up just because of tourist trap issues, there are plenty of normal meals under 5 bucks there.
