This is a CAA instruction to all airlines. Airlines have to be able to prove that they can still operate if their websites crash. It's been known that entire flights have been selected to be taken out of OLCI control and a manual check in on the day has to be performed solely to prove that airlines can still operate and not impact on the day operations.

Frustrating? Yes.

VAA issue? No.
