Yeah, definitely not worth the time and effort (unless you usually opt for 600 Southwest points or trying to get the 250 Hertz bonus points for every rental going on right now).
I was on the phone with a rep yesterday for a different billing issue, and she confirmed to me that prepaid rentals would qualify for points/miles. I guess it is a question of whether fighting for them is worth the time or not.
