On AC, flight is through Vancouver. On the way there, on expert flyer, J=5, R=0. On the way back J=9, R=0. I am E50k and have the eupgrade credits. I am thinking the way there, there is no way it'll clear. What do you guys think about the way back, how likely will it be the upgrade clears, 50%?

I'm trying to decide on buying tango for the first one as it is $350 cheaper. Total cost on AC is $1800 if I do one leg tango, one flex. It is $2150 for both flex.

Alternatively, I could fly united through san fran for $850 all in return, with no chance of upgrade but could pay $200 extra for econ + both ways.

I'm new to expertflyer. I can see for both flights the Q=9 and that the fare for Q should be $1700. But the lowest flex fare if $2200. Is expertflyer's price without fuel surcharge, etc?
Many AC fares allow other routings, besides those you mentioned.

What about AC between Narita and YVR? Is there R space right now! You can then fly ANA or Asiana between ICN and Narita.
