Would I be able to exit the transit area at all if I were to store it in the lounge..?

Thanks
Leaving luggage in the lounge is a VERY POOR idea. With security being as it is, unattended luggage will be confiscated by security officials. There is a left luggage area "eminet" (gardaroba) in the international arrivals area after exiting customs. Proceed to the right about 50 meters--it is located next to the TKY Hotel Desk and the Starbucks. Prices are reasonable. Good luck!
