How did this turn from a topic about a missed wake-up call and then into a bashing of the original poster? You pay for service at a hotel correct? He didn't receive the service they were supposed to provide. He was late for an excursion due to it. There is no fraud being committed here. Why even offer wake-up calls in hotels? Regardless, they are offered and as such, they should be received as promised. It is great that everyone views the wake-up call as archaic and far from essential in a hotel enough to bash the person who missed it. Moreover, what difference does it make to all of us as travelers should a hotel compensate a traveler based on such a miss?
