Close: (d) is half correct. I figured that most of you would know what The Onion was. Others would figure it out soon enough, with or without a smiley. But the other half of the answer is that I was hoping that someone would not know what The Onion was, conclude that it was wrong without realizing that it was satire, and then call me stupid or foolish or something similar for believing it.
