Your Senator status is an expression of your confidence in and loyalty toward SWISS, Lufthansa and our closest airline partners on your many journeys by air, for which I wish to extend to you our sincerest thanks.

With the issue of status extension on the horizon, I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that your status miles balance as of 7 October 2013 would not be sufficient to allow us to extend your Senator status as of March 2014.

On that note, I hope I can count on your understanding for the fact that we would not be in a position to offer you Senator privileges in future unless you accumulate the required 100,000 status miles by the end of this calendar year. Upon expiry of your Senator status, if that were to occur, you would of course receive a Frequent Traveller card and be entitled to enjoy the corresponding privileges.
