New to this forum and new to use of a mobility scooter. After reading some of these posts, there seems to be plenty of info how to get around in an airport with a mobility scooter.

I am trying to find out how someone would handle getting a rental car once you are at a destination. (When you bring along your own mobility scooter).

I assume you let the car rental company know you have a scooter when you make the reservation, but what I am curious about, is how to navigate thru the processes of a car rental shuttle, how to make sure your going to get the right vehicle that will be large enough to put your scooter in the trunk, etc. Will they help you load your scooter? These are the questions I have been searching to get answers for.

If anyone can share first hand experiences around this, it would be helpful and appreciated.
