That's, too, very helpful - I haven't considered that. Most of my LHR journeys usually begin and end at Oxford, so I'm not a frequent minicab user. This time, however, I need to get to central London. So the most sensible thing would be to take a taxi, then ring CS tomorrow and explain the situation, and send the receipt?

Would this really be that good an idea for a single woman late at night? Even though every minicab firm that comes up ought to be TfL licensed, it may be hard to be sure - and even then, the licensing system still covers a multitude of sins.
It would be different if the passenger has a tried-and-tested minicab firm they're personally comfortable with.
