If I do miss the last tube, what would be my best option for getting from the airport to Southwark (around Guy's hospital)? Are there any options other than a taxi? And would this be something BA might be willing to pick the bill for, considering the late departure and arrival?
FYI: I think that the last Tube into town from T5 tonight is scheduled to be 2314, and the last HEX to Paddington is 2348.
Personally, given what you say I would simply take a taxi. Then ask BA for reimbursement afterwards in the circumstances (including your personal circumstances), but with the mindset that the taxi was probably the best option anyway given the lack of easy alternatives.
In the past, I have had BA pick up a taxi fare when something that happened during our journey meant that it was reasonable to take a taxi from T5 even though we would otherwise have used the Tube.
