I start to think you may not really understand the unique set up of Citi's business card based on your above comment.
The log in does not die even after account is closed. What do you mean you only had the primary card?!
A business card has TWO accounts - the "corporate' account which has its own number but NO plastic or physical card. The "employee" account which has its own number also but IS that plastic or physical card that is sent to you and you use that card to make purchase.
Both the "corporate" account and the "employee" account need to be closed in order to make the business card truly closed. When a rep closes the card, if s/he forgets to close the "corporate" account, (or not even know s/he needs to), the end result is you have a phantom account still shows in the system, indicates that you still have the business card while in all reality you dont any more.
The only way to find out for sure is to call Citi and ask if your business card is truly closed.
