I don't expect too see to much change in rates as demand drives rates and local competition. There are many hotels in that region and never enough leisure travelers on many of the weekends throughout the year without an event in town.
As a top tier member of 4 other programs its too easy to stay elsewhere if ones wants too or without elite status...When Hyatt isn't serving my needs in value and location I simply use another brand. Hyatt typically serves me well in most major markets though for certain Southern California is somewhat underserved with no stand out hotel IMHO
No Park Hyatt for one and no full service property at LAX are glaring examples
Did I mention Irvine will soon have a void?
