I suppose leaving NRT at 0930+ will allow us to miss most of the morning rush hour? We're landing on a Tuesday. Maybe in the end the bus still is the better option.
It really depends. You can probably rest better in the bus but train is cheaper and more fun. Either way I won't count on bus or even train for tight connection. I had a few experience that I had to change to different trains due to accidents.

Thanks!
As jamar said, read the sign 羽田空港 or there are a lot of good app that can help you figure out which train to catch. I find them quite useful
