I thought the whole rationale behind Pre-Check was that certain people...WHO TRAVELED FREQUENTLY ENOUGH TO BE A KNOWN RISK FACTOR AND WHO VOLUNTEERED FOR GE BACKGROUND CHECKS, posed a reasonably reduced terror risk and could, therefore, be excused from the majority of 'intrusive' screening.

Apparently, TSA was wrong all along. Or terrorism went away... Not sure which.

(yesterday's T2 Pre-Check line at SAN was both longer than, and moved slower than the regular line. If someone already has their shoes and belt off and put them in a bin, just let the bin go through the X-ray!!! Don't insist on having them re-dress before going through the metal detector. Rocket Surgery.)
