Never stayed at CP Deira, just looked at it from Emirates Towers! It is directly overlooking Sh Zayed Road. I seem to remember complaints on tripadvisor of noise from the hotel night club as well.

As you need to take taxis everywhere in Dubai, 'trying a different area' is not really a decent reason to stay in a less than great hotel in my view ....
