Wow. What an itinerary. So I followed up on this on ITA and see you can get TIJ-MEX-LIM-SCL-IPC rt all in for about $1500 in bus class. And unlimited stopovers allowed!! So if you can find the right dates, you can stop in Mexico City, Lima, Santiago, and Easter Island -- All places I want to visit as part of a grand South American tour! Someday, at least.
