Changi Village is definitely worth it, especially if you go in the afternoon to watch the sunset, and watch planes land overhead. This is pretty awesome. Then you can go and have dinner at the massive hawker centre there, it is well worth the effort, but I would catch cabs there, not public transport, it will take you well over an hour.
