Not that this is a big deal but I recently made a $1000 before tax, purchase at Sears.com linked to a Skymiles shopping offer. They were offering for 2 days a bonus that was awarding you 10 miles per dollar.
Thought this was a good time to make this purchase and Sears price was the same as everyone else.
Got a notification that my miles had posted for this purchase and got
8,700 miles out of the deal. I realize 1,300 skypesos are not that valuable
but its not what they offered.
Don't know how they calculate this and I did not expect to get miles on sales tax or shipping.
I did e-mail them and so far got a canned response asking for a copy of the invoice.
