That would be gross, and an admission that being Gold actually would make a difference to my life ... Which it wouldn't.

Others will find Gold important for their personal purposes, and I have no issue with that. It doesn't make them better, or more important, people: they, like me, just extract the maximum BAEC benefits for their lifestyle. I just hope they recognise that being Gold isn't akin to having an Aviation Knighthood, and somehow representing 'social status', because it isn't.

It's just a FFP scenario ... And nothing more than that. The human being behind the tag could be a Lord, a peasant, or a hard-worked underpaid drone. Status, in the true sense, comes from different places and dimensions.
