But would I spend another free night cert there? Nope, and certainly wouldn't pay money there either.
The Savoy, on the other hand.... either my favourite hotel in the world, or in the top three, anyway - and one where I'd actually spend cash at, never mind free nights. I wrote about it in my blog, but yeah.
I wasn't too impressed with the Savoy, although it was definitely hoity toity. The entrance was a bit smallish, and there were homeless people sometimes waiting by the corners. My wife on the other hand, loved it. So I guess its taste I guess. I don't mind staying there the next time. I think the renovations they undertook was impressive. And I like the fact they gave our family a comp ride to Westminster Abbey in their Rolls.
We didn't stay in the Rose Suite, although that was one of the options I was considering. We got extra 300 sq ft going with the
Deluxe Rose Suite, and it was something like a $30 per night difference. The view was of the street though, not Central Park. All of the views were sold off to their condo project, so it doesn't matter how much you pay, the best view at the Plaza when in the hotel is going to be the courtyard view.
