If I were a bank, I'd probably not give an 8th business credit card to someone in less than 1.5 years. Makes sense to me.

As for the 6k additional I'm wondering if it makes sense to spend or transfer.
I used to fly US a lot for work but have since stopped....after a recent trip to Japan on points I'm left with 22,988 in my US account that is just sitting there. I'm definitely going to transfer them out but I'm wondering if it makes sense to transfer them to WN or move them to a solid hotel and leave them there.
I didn't see to many good options for getting the points into NW from US, the best transfer route I found was US>Mariott>WN....which gives me a paltry 40:3 conversion.
Are there any other creative ways to up the conversion from US to WN? Should I just leave these in a solid hotel and use them for hotel?
Thanks!
I'd keep the US miles and get a few more and use them for a domestic US trip. Not sure how to get a couple thousand; maybe rental cars? Check the US forum. Transfers like that are not a good value very often.
Hit the 110K in January not December. 2-year CP.

I just recently started traveling a lot for work and I have already racked up 10RR points, but I would hate to add the 50K to that knowing that the year is almost over and I would have 60K worth of points that would just be sitting there and not counted towards the CP nor A-List.
Welcome to Flyertalk,

Yes, forget about this year on the CP. Spend like a big dog in early January or in December after your statement for that month drops, but be careful. Remember that certain categories are doubled, and there are sometimes bonuses. You do not want to shave it too close by overspending in Oct/Nov and make a math error (or get shopping mall/hotel/car rental points unexpectedly) and get the CP in late Dec.
Every year people make this mistake.
