I just stayed here on a cash and points rate (as the hotel was going for 250+ Euros/nt) before catching a morning flight back to New York.
Observations:
- The internet connection is terrible. I tried the wired connection when I was in my room and it was just as bad, so I can't just chalk this up to a poor wifi signal.
- Zilch for SPG Plat recognition, including no lounge access at first. How hard is it to say something (sbm12 had a nice piece on this the other day), let alone actually doing things right?
- I wound up getting a room as far as possible (unfortunately) from the elevator bank. The hotel had been fully booked according to its website <24 hours out, so I wasn't expecting an upgrade.
Never had an issue with the wifi. Works always fine even with my smartphones.
Also never had a problem with upgrades and / or platinum recognition. Have gotten always lounge access also.
