AIUI, it means that if you fly LHR-HKG on BA and then HKG-MEL on BA (ie a BA code), you can't have a stopover in HKG.

However, you can have a stopover in HKG if you fly LHR-HKG on BA and then HKG-MEL on a CX code or a QF code.
