I quite like the AA LAX Flagship lounge. The staff are always welcoming and accommodating. There's usually some reasonable food for the time of day...salads, soups, something hot etc. and good supplies of non-alcoholic drinks (one of the few places you can get sparkling water), plus a few spirits and wine.
