An announcement to ask people to return to their allocated seats would solve that. This could have been done at T-60 to give people the time to move. Yes, it's a slight inconvenience, but not as much of an upheaval as it was for us coming down from the upper deck, and this would have meant it would have been quicker. Instead all the seats were covered with bedding whether or not they were free. There were lots of crew around just stood watching us, and next to no leadership from the CSD.
I appreciate that safety has to come first, but staff just standing watching while business class customers struggle to find seats isn't acceptable. IRROPS isn't an excuse for poor service once the safety critical aspect has been resolved. If the CC had been busy, I wouldn't have commented. But there were 4 of them just stood with their arms behind their back doing nothing while 20 CW passengers struggled to establish which seats were available. Something which could have been found out by the CSD and the crew befre moving passengers.
