Based on what the agent told me, she wasn't going to make the seat change because she couldn't figure out how to charge me. To me it sounds like she could do it for free, thought that was wrong, so they blocked it from happening.

And in the case of the erroneous E+ seat charge the agent was somehow projecting that it was my fault that I didn't notice the fees, which shouldn't have been charged in the first place, until after I flew and somehow that absolved them for making their error right.

At the end of the day each individual agent made my interaction with them more difficult than it needed to be because they were hunting for revenue for their employer. Is this flyer_friendly?

Maybe they should start a new fee program: Want a "sure, no problem" fork over $10.
While you are correct that club agents can change seats. the p.s. debacle is more than just a seat change on the agent's end. The agent would have to change your booking class from C to F, and that would open up the seats availability in the former F cabin. Because of the booking class change requirement, many agents falsely believe that it's an "upgrade", when in fact it's the stupid interim workaround until the entire p.s. fleet is retrofitted.
