Had a PCAR reservation (prepaid) SFO to LAS, got a carfirmation of Buick Regal - couldn't believe it

Spoke to the a rep at the gold choice section (which was poorly stocked) and asked for a convertible (preferably mustang) so he went away and eventually pulled one around. Was a 2012 model with 40k miles but he said that was all they had left. Started at $50 a day upgrade but couldn't get him below $30 so settled on that in the end. Was a good car to be fair but when we got off the freeway at Monterey and onto some uneven local roads there was a nasty clunking coming from the rear so popped to Monterey airport and luckily they had another mustang to swap out and they were really helpful. So now in a 2014 mustang convertible with 11k on the clock and no noises coming from the rear. So a big shout out to the team at Monterey for great service.
