Situation: Work only pays for WT+, itinerary booked through TA, open jaw booking together with colleague. chances of POUG offer likely nil for these reasons.

WT+ is half empty (still lots of redemption available in this class on this flight) so Op-Up and POUG not likely.

I'd be willing to book a separate CW or F redemption for that flight (one way) on the outbound sector. I'd obviously sit in CW or F but I'm happy to check in for both seats and classes for that flight (two seats, two classes) would this be possible and would it stop any problems with taking the return flight on the original WT+ itinerary?

Surely this has been done before?

Would BA have a problem with this? Any way to resolve it if Club or F last minute availability should come up? Flight is in a weeks time and I would like to have the wisdom of the board before I possibly see anything pop up!
