Aside from taking the tram S12, you can also take the Bus No.78 (both heading towards Schwanheim Rheinlandstr.) after leaving the train at Niederrad. It is fairly convenient , roughly 15-20 total travel time incl. transfers.

Cost for a taxi should be roughly 5-10 Euro more, travel time is 10 minutes max.
