I would definitely write CC and ask for the discount. That's a listed benefit and they even have a list of exceptions, which includes only Poland, Turkey and former Soviet republics....

Interesting... Both Park Inn Murmansk and Park Inn Ekaterinburg are on the non-participating list, but I got discounted meals and drinks in both hotels and their bars. Good restaurants, too!
