CAAC effectively 'controls' Air China and China Eastern. The VD of CAAC now may well be the next CAAC boss within few years as the current one is due to retire very soon (note the very soon was used few years [one to two] back...you get the picture right?).

Would not be surprised to hear anything nowadays.
